          Pehchaan The Street School is a very well known non profit organization from Delhi ( India ) that works for the underprivileged children’s stays in nearby areas of Delhi and NCR. The main focus of this organization is to educate the children from underprivileged areas and give them empowerment for their future and this organization is consistently working on this. Pehchaan The Street School has 7 centers across Delhi and each center is working for the betterment of the underprivileged children. 

          Pehchaan The Street School was established in 2015 by Mr Akash Tondon. Initially it was a small group of passionate volunteers who are interested in working with underprivileged children and their education.The school starts with very few children ,handful of volunteers and classrooms on the streets of Delhi. The founder of Pehchaan The Street Schools believes that every child deserves a basic education. The goal of this organization is very simple that give Identity that is Pehchaan to every child from underprivileged areas through education and make them socially and economically independent for the rest of their life. 

            Pehchaan The Street School empowered underprivileged children who actually lost hope to live but the volunteers from the organization became a ray of hope for underprivileged children. These volunteers arrange workshops , seminars, regular health check ups , extra curricular activities and other essential things for the children and henceforth from the last 9 years Pehchaan The Street School has grown very well.

          The true success of Pehchaan The Street School is in the success stories of their children. There are many children who started their educational journey with Pehchaan The Street School are now performing outstanding in their formal school and some are pursuing their higher studies very well and now they are trying to break the cycle of poverty and help their families. 

Deepak Kumar – Deepak is first student of Pehchaan The Street School who appeared for 12th board examination and he scored 83% marks and had become his school’s top achiever and also he is the first one in his locality and he is now trying to pursue his higher studies and appearing fair various colleges entrance exams. Deepak’s achievement is really amazing. His father is a daily wager and his mother is a housewife . Deepak is having so many responsibilities on his shoulders but he never gave up with his studies and succeeded in his examination with very good marks. 

Nazia – Nazia is a 9th grade student of Pehchaan The Street School. According to her, not only she but her friends also love to come to the Pehchaan The Street School and enjoy their studies. Nazia got to know about Pehchaan The Street School from her very close friend Nargis. Nazia suggests Pehchaan The Street School to everyone who can’t go to school because of various reasons. 

Deepika – Deepika is the 5th grade student of Pehchaan The Street School she is coming there for a few years now and she wants to become a doctor in future. Her Mother Deepika enjoys her studies at Pehchaan The Street School and the school has been very helpful for them because Deepika not only get quality education at school but she feels very comfortable and safe also. 

Krish – Krish started his journey with Pehchaan The Street School around seven years ago and he became an artist with the help of Pehchaan The Street School. He also has been studying with open education or correspondence education recently. 

Nargis – Nargis is a 9th grade student of Pehchaan The Street School. She appreciates the friendly and safe environment for girl children at Pehchaan The Street School. Nargis wants to become a singer in future and also wants to complete her studies with good marks and make her parents feel proud about herself. 

Raj – Raj is a 6th grade student of Pehchaan The Street School. Raj’s family is not so supportive of education but he loves to go to school at Pehchaan The Street School and according to him , all teachers and students are interconnected to each other in a very beautiful way.

       If we had look at the history of our nation Mrs. Savitribai Phule is the first female teacher of our country. She is the social reformer who is considered to be our first modern feminist. Social reformer Mr. Jyotirao Phule and Mrs .Savitribai Phule opened first girl’s  school in Pune in 1848. Mrs. Savitribai Phule became headmistress and took a charge of the school. It was time when education for girls is almost banned in India. This couple faced may problems and appositions from the conservative society of India but their determination and dedication toward the girl’s education is remarkable and after this latter half of the 19th century girl’s education in India increased significantly.

        It is very important to educate girls in our society beacuse education can mold girls or Women’s life in considerable way. Education is one of the most important tool for empowering girls and women and automatically it can potentially transform their lives and that of their families and communities Education is the fundamental right of every child lives in India including girl child but still in India many girls are facing the challenges when it comes to education. 

        In Maharashtra their is one Slogan in Marathi language “ मुलगी शिकली प्रगती झाली “ ( Mugli means Girl , Shikli means if she gets educated , and Pragati means Progress ) it means Girls educated implies progress assured. Educating a girl will realise her own potential , to think and ask questions independently. In our country still many people opposes girl’s education and they think that proper place for girl is her home and also many people says that the money spent on girl’s education is waste of money and resources. 

        Educating a girl or women in a country directly praportional to the economic development of the country. When the women’s of the house are educated then they can manage their finances , household works and their children’s education better. There are many reasons why girl’s education is important in India like
